Covid - 19 Update
We are open for enquiries
Devonshire Windows remains open to manage new and existing enquiries and orders. We have a well-established remote working process in place to enable us to provide support remotely via our sales, technical, ordering and installation department. Our team can be contacted by dialling 01803 665577 and selecting the relevant option or by using the form on our contact us page.

Whilst we are all disappointed not to be able to attending exhibitions and showing customers around our showroom, as with other responsible companies in our industry, we believe that our current working arrangements are the right course of action to attempt to delay the spread of the virus and in doing so hopefully reduce the pressure placed on the NHS.

VISIT OUR VIRTUAL SHOWROOM

The best way to serve our customers?
We are investing heavily in keeping our staff working so that we can continue to support our customers. We have added a virtual showroom to our website to provide an introduction to our core products and we are currently taking part in a full programme of showroom visits and technical discussion that are taking place via video-call. We are happy to take accurate site survey measurements for manufacture providing the government guidelines for social contact can be maintained. Installations are being carried out where we can meet the government guidelines for social contact.

Our plans for immediate future
There remains significant uncertainty around the next weeks and months, but our aim is to progress as many jobs as far as we can so that when the time is right, we are in a position to push the button on installing them.

The investment we have made over the last 30 years in directly employing all our team members and owning our own warehouse and offices means that we are in the best possible position to respond quickly and flexibly for our customers. Our own in-house order processing department work on dedicated portals to our manufacturing partners so we stay in control of the product being manufactured.

Our plans for the second half of the year
We will continue to be guided by Government advice and the timescales remain uncertain, however at this stage it seems reasonable to assume that we are going to see demand for almost a full years’ worth of installations scheduled into the second half of this year.

After an excellent start to the year our order books and fitting schedules are already busy so if you are undertaking a project it is important that you talk to us as early as you can to allow us to make as many arrangements at the earliest opportunity to give you priority when normal working conditions prevail.
Other challenges and benefits

In addition to the obvious challenges that the current pandemic brings from a health and welfare perspective there are a number of challenges that our industry will face going forwards. The current financial uncertainty will understandably impact companies within the industry so we would urge customers to do their due diligence of potential suppliers to ensure the businesses they choose to use are financially stable. At Devonshire Windows we have been trading for over 30 years and remain a family owned business with a proud reputation for our customer service and the quality of our products.
We organise our own logistics so if your build is running a little behind schedule, we can delay your delivery and keep the product safely stored in our warehouse.
We have long trading partnerships with our suppliers who are amongst the top brands in the marketplace. These well-established organisations are very self-sufficient and have the capacity to alter their work processes in order to reduce the health risk to their employees whilst also maintaining an almost business as usual service.
