Allies Farmhouse

This WW II Air Base was transformed into a beautiful, open-plan living farmhouse using quality Sunflex products.
The architecture of the house was required to echo the airbase and was the primary driver of the design. The owners used
double and triple glazed Sunflex products to create a very thermally efficient house.

The background behind this project

This building was originally used as an airbase and shelter during WW II by the USAF 381st Bombardment Group. The Gray family, who own this building, took it as a fantastic opportunity to build a new house on an old site - making full use of modern materials and modern installations including double and triple glazed windows from Sunflex to create a very thermal efficient house. This was one of the main ideas behind the farmhouse.
